As we reflect on the events of Good Friday we are confronted with the deep shame that Jesus endured. Mocked and insulted, he could have “saved himself” but instead, Jesus chose to endure the shame and humiliation, along with the physical agony, in order to accomplish redemption for all who repent and believe.
