In this message we walk through the last several sections of Nahum’s oracle of doom for Nineveh. To be sure, it is a difficult and daunting passage to read, but it does not leave us without hope. God’s coming judgment upon sin is actually a vital aspect of God setting all things right in his sin marred creation. Ultimately this text points us to Jesus and the cross where God’s judgment was poured out and where Jesus vicariously bore what we deserve so that through faith in him we might enjoy freedom — partial freedom now and one day, true and complete freedom.
