This often ignored OT prophetic book is an oracle of judgment upon an ancient and foreign nation. That might leave us wondering how it could possible be relevant to us today, not to mention that the topic of judgment is not one we’re drawn to. Yet, a closer look will reveal that there is much that we need to hear and reflect upon as we work through the message of this book that stands as a sort of “sequel” to the better known book of Jonah. Though certainly sobering and challenging, there is much that is also deeply encouraging in this short book.
