As we begin our study of the book of Revelation, we find ourselves walking into a “strange” and unfamiliar world. Filled with all kinds of imagery and puzzling numbers, we can be left feeling lost and simply back away from this text, turning to somewhere else in the Bible instead. Yet, resisting this temptation and diving it will pay rich dividends. Within these pages Jesus pulls back the curtain revealing to us what is really real, empowering us to live well as his redeemed people in light of the unseen realities of both the future and the present.
