As we make our way further into the story of 1 Samuel, we are confronted by darkness. Very clearly not all is well. Yet, even in the face of great darkness and of evil men, we see God at work to accomplish his plan. We are left with a sobering warning but also with an amazing word of hope. In Jesus, light has come and the darkness has not overcome it.
