Still at the table with his disciples, Jesus shares some sobering words. A spiritual enemy is gunning for them, they will all falter in their commitment to following Jesus, and hostility and opposition lies in their future. Nonetheless, Jesus gives his followers reasons to face that daunting future with hope and confidence and even joy. The same is true for us. Yes, we will face trouble but with eyes wide open, we can face it with hope because of Jesus.
