In this passage, Jesus shares a parable to teach us about the proper posture for approaching God in prayer. What we will discover is that gaining right standing with God requires the right approach to God. But far from weighing us down with heavy expectations for our performance as disciples, the parable frees us to come to God with complete honesty about our own sinfulness and inability to get things right, and lean fully on Jesus as our only hope. And when we do that, we discover hope!
