As we continue our study of Luke’s gospel, we come to a passage that invites us as disciples of Jesus into the work of Jesus. This is exciting but can also be daunting. But what we discover as we explore this text carefully is that Jesus does not send us out to accomplish anything on our own strength or ability. He sends us to carry on his work with his power and authority, dependent upon his provision.
