This is an amazing story for a variety of reasons. In it we see Jesus reaching out to individuals at both ends of the “religious” or “moral” spectrum. His encounters with both Simon and the woman in this story are tender and as we watch things unfold, regardless of who we are or where we are coming from, we find ourselves challenged and filled with hope because of the glorious grace and love of Jesus, so marvellously displayed.
