In this message we begin our study of the book of Habakkuk, first with an exploration of the historical and spiritual context in which Habakkuk lived and spoke. Understanding the place where he found himself, helps us understand the cries and questions that arise from his heart to God. And what we discover in this prophet is that he is a companion with whom we can identify, one who leads us into a place where we too can honestly cry out to God in the midst of our own bewildering experiences of pain and confusion, and one who leads us to Jesus.
