"Half Baked"

Once more we are confronted with the unfaithfulness of Israel in relationship to Yahweh with whom they are in covenant relationship. We shake our heads at their half-hearted responses to the prophetic call to return to God in faithfulness and marvel at their persistent foolishness. Yet what we come to see is that the story of Israel is our story too, and it is only through the amazing grace lavished on us in Christ that we are redeemed and set free from our "half-baked" lives. As we see the glorious grace of God in Christ we will be moved to worship him and in worshiping him, lesser affections will fall away and we will be transformed.
