Too often in the church we fail to talk openly about sex, and when we do talk about it, we tend to focus on sexual sin. Certainly we need to do that latter but we also need to understand sex as God's good and important gift to humanity when exercised within the boundaries which he has provided for sex. In this message, the apostle Paul is clear about the very appropriate and necessary place of sexual expression within the context of a husband and wife relationship. In this context sex is good, it is important, and it should be enjoyed with mutuality and intentionality. Where we've experienced brokenness because of sexual sin, our sin or that of another, the gospel offers healing and provides us with clarity about God's design and purpose for sex in our lives. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:20, "Therefore honour God with your bodies." May that be the case for each of us in Christ Jesus.
