With this text we reach the mid-point of the letter to the Romans but also its pinnacle. We look back and take in the marvel of what God in Christ has done and what is now true of us who are in Christ. Paul helps us see and rejoice in the assurance that is ours in Christ. Certainly in this world we may face difficulties and suffering but no matter what, we find ourselves firmly and securely in the grip of God’s love.
