Here Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray, providing them and us with a model of gospelized prayer. Though short, just 57 words that can be recited in less than 20 seconds, there is nothing “small” or “insignificant” about this prayer. It covers every aspect of our lives and engages us in a cosmic act, calling on God, our Father, to bring heaven down to earth.
