In this, the final of six illustrations of gospelized living, Jesus calls his followers to do something strange and something impossible apart from the power of God at work in our lives. He calls us to love our enemies. This call and this love is completely counter-cultural in this broken world but it is the way of the kingdom and, through the gospel and the power of God’s Spirit in us, it is possible and it is powerful — powerful enough to turn enemies into brothers and sisters.
