In this message we explore the theme of church membership. What is it and why does it matter? How are we to think about it? Using the first century church of Colossae as a bit of a case study, we will explore how life in Christ necessarily requires a commitment to a local community of believers. Rather than seeing church membership as a “hoop” to jump through, it is my hope that you will recognize a richness in publicly and expressing our mutual commitment to one another and to life together as a local community of the redeemed.
