As we begin our study of the New Testament letter of Romans, there is much background information for us to understand about this document, if we hope to rightly understand the text. To that end, in this message we will spend most of our time exploring the key contextual questions we face — like who wrote it, to whom was it written, when, and also why? Answers to these questions will leave us prepared to walk through the opening verses and into this important letter.
