In these verses the Apostle Paul points his readers to the future ask the determining factor for their lives in the present. Because of who they are through faith in Jesus and because of what the future entails, their lives in the present — and ours — are to be profoundly impacted. Even when we walk through suffering and difficulty, it is the future that shapes both our perspective and our response.
