This is how the story of the Philippian church began — with a vision of a man from Europe begging that Paul and his companions “Come over … and help us.” In this message we lay the foundation for a series of messages from the book of Philippians, exploring the city, the church, and the circumstances of both Paul and those to whom he wrote. And we explore the opening couple verses which introduce us to some of the central themes of the letter. In this series we will join the Philippians in receiving this important word from Jesus.
